Just A Little Introduction

Hello family, friends, and other fellows of the Internet,

With so many people I care about scattered all over the world, I find it incredibly difficult to try and update everyone about my current status of well... everything. Sure, there's Facebook and Twitter, texts, and e-mails, but half of those seem so insincere and the other half ends up being a summary of some of the best (or worst!) circumstances I find myself in. I was discussing my dilemma to a friend when she brought up the grand idea of starting a blog. I let that idea sit for a little bit. Me? A blog? The more I thought about it, the more sense it made. Here's why.

Starting Christmas Day, I leave my home in California to go on a 4 month adventure to Europe. I'll start off in Paris and spend majority of my time in London, with all sorts of little trips around in between. While this may seem like your average college-student-turned-backpacker, think again! I've been accepted to a fine arts study abroad program through Brigham Young University and will spend a good chunk of my time studying humanities, theater, religion, and British history. I couldn't be more excited!

I've spent this past week packing suitcases, calming stressed parents, buying last minute scarves, and hanging out with friends I won't get to see for at least another 7 months. It's been exhausting. While it's a tad depressing to have to leave all my friends, family, and puppies behind, I can't wait to be able to learn what the UK has to offer and give them a little piece of myself back. So here's a little piece of me to you Internet, a collection of my days in Europe. A little something I like to call, Letters From London.

Love,
Courtney
